Cannabis and Legalization: Disability Management and Company Policies/Procedures

In Canada, we know many Occupational Health Nurses have concerns with regards to the new upcoming Federal legalization of Cannabis, although, it is also not quite legalized at the moment.

One individual, Brendan, recently asked the question under the Disability Management section;

“Given that public consumption is not legal, how are your organizations dealing with accommodating a place to use (specifically smoking) cannabis use supported by medical?”

Any thoughts to assist him?

Furthermore, as cannabis does become legalized in the near future, how is your company managing their Policies and Procedures with regards to employees, contractors, and so forth?

What about safety sensitive roles?
